COOLNOMIX and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah

Coolnomix®

ESTIMATED 15% CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION AT A LEADING UNITED ARAB EMIRATES UNIVERSITY.

The American University of Ras Al Kahaimah (AURAK)

is a leading tertiary education establishment in the United Arab Emirates. With outside air temperatures up to 50°C this is one of the most challenging environments in which to reduce air-conditioning energy consumption while delivering indoor temperatures that nurture the minds and interactions of potential future leaders.

Working with Siemens and Pactive Sustainable Solutions, our distribution partners in the UAE COOLNOMIX® is now working to reduce the carbon footprint of more than 1,100 AURAK air-conditioning units by some 20% –
25%. As air-conditioning can account for around 70% of the total energy consumption at AURUK this translates to an estimated 15% per annum reduction in the overall power and carbon footprint consumption at this university.

In delivering these amazing air-conditioning energy savings COOLNOMIX® is set up to deliver comfortable temperatures of 23°C (73.4°F) in shaded areas within each AURAK building and 22°C (71.6°F) in areas with a high heat load or in direct sunlight.
